Time to Style Your Swimwear for a Sun-Kissed and Salty Summer

Summer is here! It’s time for barbecues, pool parties, water fights, and sun-kissed skin! If you’re planning on splashing around this summer, you’ll probably want to make your swim suit work overtime. Here are some of our favorite ways to optimize swimwear to enjoy sunny vacay days.

Style with Cover Ups
Cover ups and swimsuits are a dreamy combination. We recommend finding light-weight opaque cover ups; if you start to feel a sunburn coming on, an opaque cover up can save your skin! If you want to get more adventurous with styling, try using oversized button down shirts or shawls as cover ups.

Style with a Sarong
Sarongs are super lightweight, which makes them optimal for super hot days. Sarongs usually have a generous amount of fabric, which means you can tie them anywhere. I.e, they can be flattering on any body type.

Style with Shorts or a Skirt
If you’ll be in chlorinated water, we recommend wearing shorts or skirts that are created for swim use (because chlorine can deteriorate some fabrics and threads). Denim shorts are cute after getting out of the water, or for trips to the beach.

Style with Wide Leg Linen / Cotton Pants
These pants are so cute! The wide leg is breezy and cool, and the fabric is breathable. The looseness of the pants contrasts well with the slim fit of a swimsuit, making a lovely outfit.

Style with Beach Hats
Your dermatologist called, and left us on sunburn patrol. We always recommend styling with beach hats! They’re practical and adorable.

Style with a Sundress / Maxi Dress
Lightweight dresses always make for great cover ups! Try it out sometime— you can thank us later. Shop our High Low Dress (shown below) and other summer dresses here!

Style with a Swim Halftee
No one likes to talk about it, but swimsuit malfunctions happen to all of us. That’s why we love Swim Tees. They give coverage for swimsuit gaping, cleavage, and side-boob. With colors in nude, blush, and white, you’ll find a Swim Tee to go with any of your swimsuits.

We hope these swim styling tips help you rock it at the beach or pool this summer! Happy Splashing!
