4 Halftee Facts That Will Make You Excited to Shop

“You go to your fridge, and you open the door. Inside is a baby penguin. What do you do?”

I stared at the blonde lady in front of me with total bewilderment. Did she just ask me what I would do if I found a baby penguin in my fridge? In a job interview? Who was this lady?!

That was my first impression of Amanda Barker and her company, Halftee. But after getting hired, I quickly learned that Halftee is so much more than a company that asks weird problem-solving questions during job interviews.

After years of working at Halftee, I am leaving to move on to a new adventure. This was not a decision that I took lightly because I love Halftee! I love the people, I love the product, and I love what we are doing, but I know that it is time to move to the next phase of my life. So, for my last Halftee blog post I wanted to reiterate why Halftee is truly incredible.

The women who work at Halftee are extraordinary. They are one big family. Each one of them is an amazing woman who is passionate about Halftee and helping others. They are all very talented and go to work every day because they love what they do. They create a very positive and uplifting environment that I was so blessed to be a part of.

I wear Halftees every single day! They have revolutionized the way I shop and dress. So, when I say I love wearing Halftee, you know I mean it! I have never worked for a company where their customers were so kind and cared so much! Thank you for truly being so amazing and so supportive!

Halftee Is Real Women, Real Bodies, Real Lives

I was super nervous to start a job in the fashion industry due to my history with an eating disorder. But shortly before I started at Halftee, they had already started switching their marketing to being more authentic. It’s been a total honor to help Halftee switch to using a large variety of real women in our photography versus a couple of young size 0 models. I’ve loved helping build a community of women who embrace each other just the way they are. It has helped me grow so much as I continue to accept myself and my body.

At Halftee we continue to support and uplift women. We try to partner and support other women-owned businesses. In October, we helped raise awareness for breast cancer, and last April we held an event to raise funds and awareness about sexual assault.
