It’s important to feel good about where you shop, so I wanted to bring some awesome companies to light. Learning about the ethics of these companies (and others) has restored a bit of my faith in humanity! I hope that as you continue to shop, you’ll be able to be more aware of these ethics, and that this knowledge can help you make decisions you can be at peace with.
&Collar
&Collar is a startup company with lots of potential. They make performance men’s ware, and I have to say that when I first learned of their company, I was drawn in like a magnet. Why? They make their clothing from recycled water bottles. I bought some things for my husband, and I have to admit, I am totally jealous! Their eco-friendly clothes are stretchy, comfy, and mess-proof.
Everlane
Everlane makes a line of clothing that is recycled and made to last, plus their clothes are so beautiful. If you check out their site, keep in mind that Halfee will open a lot of options for you. If you find something you’d want, but would prefer to have sleeves or a higher neckline, remember that we’ve got you covered. ;)
Patagonia
If you’re into the outdoor scene, you will love Patagonia. They work hard to treat animals kindly, and many of their fabrics are eco friendly. You might be interested to know that they use recycled wool, and the down feathers they use are supported by the Global Trace Down Standard.
Halftee
Here at Halftee, we strive to be ethically sourced! Unlike many big fast-fashion companies, our commitment is that our products will never be produced with sweat shops or child labor. As a matter of fact, we actually have a charitable partnership with Operation Underground Railroad because we are anti-human trafficking activists.
Lastly, we hope that you can feel comfortable shopping with us knowing that you’re supporting a small (but growing) U.S. business. We are a tight-knit team of women—supporting women—working hard every day to supply you with a product we're proud of. Every Halftee is made to last. Our California-sourced fabrics aren’t only comfortable, they’re durable. Halftees are designed to help you make the most out of your wardrobe; with a Halftee, you’ll be able to reuse more of the clothes you love. Let's make the world a better place together.
xo,
Eliza
